US Match Play Championship®

matchplay-swing2The 3rd annual United States Match Play Championship® will be held Monday-Friday, December 1-5, 2014, at Indian Hills Golf Course in Fort Pierce, Florida.

Guaranteed $10,000 first-place prize!  

The event is open to all golfers, both professional and amateur. Scott Newton, from Port. St. Lucie, Florida, is the defending champion.  The field is limited to the first 64 golfers who register.  The entry deadline is Friday, November 21 at 5:00 p.m. EST. The entry fee is $375 and includes all tournament rounds and range balls prior to play.  Practice rounds prior to the tournament may be arranged by  calling the Indian Hills pro shop at (772) 465-8110.

Monday, December 1: Stroke-play qualifying to determine the 32 who will advance to the match play portion of the event.
Tuesday, December 2: Round of 32 matches.
Wednesday, December 3: Round of 16 matches.
Thursday, December 4: Morning, quarterfinals. Afternoon, semi-finals.
Friday, December 5: Finals.

Indian Hills plays to a yardage of 6,545 yards, meaning both long and short hitters can play on equal footing.  The course is always in fine shape under the watchful eye of GCSAA superintendent Barry Lezark.
