USGTF program now offered nationally in three foreign languages
USGTF-FLC (United States Golf Teachers Federation-Foreign Language Course) was established in 2011 to extend the mission
of the USGTF to foreign language-speaking candidates who want to be certified as a teaching professional here in the United States. There are many who wish to get certified, but it has been a big barrier for people who speak English as a second language to attend
a regular USGTF certification course.
Currently, we are providing courses in three
languages: Korean, Japanese, and Chinese. These courses are conducted under the same standards and cost as a regular USGTF course, and we will expand these courses with more languages according to the demands of teaching professional candidates.
It has been a great success since we introduced this new program. We have certified over 120 teaching professionals, and we expect to see a growing number of candidates for our program every year. In the future, with the global network we have with 42 countries, we will coordinate an international cooperation program with the WGTF and promote our service around the world.
In order to expand our activities and share more information about USGTF-FLC testing procedures, we are constructing a multi-
language website to promote our mission.
