The Bay of Quinte Country Club will be hosting the 2014 Canadian Golf Teachers Cup. The Bay of Quinte has a long history of hosting prestigious championships in its 90-plus years. One interesting fact about the course is that more provincial championships have been played there than at any other golf course in Ontario.
The course is full of subtle challenges. Fast greens with hard-to-read breaks, generous fairways, and new Ohio white sand make the course fun to play. Good shots are rewarded, but short-siding yourself on the smallish greens will lead to bogeys.
Sunday, September 21
• Practice Rounds after 12:00 p.m.
Monday, September 22
• Registration starts at 8:00 a.m.
• First tee time is 9:30 a.m.
• All groups will be foursomes where possible
Tuesday, September 23
• Modified shotgun start will begin at 9:30 a.m. except for the leader groups
• All leader groups will start on the first tee
• All groups will be threesomes where applicable
• Closing banquet and awards ceremony will begin approximately 3:30 p.m. in the Bay of Quinte Clubhouse
Divisions:
There will be four different competitive stroke-play divisions:
- Open (49 years of age and under) playing approximately 6,300 yards
- Senior (50-59 years of age) playing approximately 5,900 yards
- Super Senior (60 years of age and over) playing approximately 5,700 yards
- Ladies playing approximately 5,300 yards
New for 2014… the social division. This division will play a two-person betterball (four-ball) format. Networking opportunities and educational sessions will be offered after golf daily to enhance the event.
Tournament Entry Fee: $225.00 and includes two tournament rounds, prizes, trophies, banquet dinner, seminars, and all taxes and gratuities. Guests are welcome at the banquet dinner at an additional cost of $40 per person.
Practice Round: Available September 21, 2014 cost with cart is $50.00 plus HST.
Accommodations: Rooms are available for $99.00 plus HST
